Jewels, A Secret History
Jewels and adornment have always been an overwhelming passion; something that has always been an intimate part of my childhood. My mother is a jewellery designer, my father a retired gem-cutter. As a child I would sort through my mothers jewellery & my fathers colourful assortment of loose gems, marvelling at their lustrous beauty. That fascination saw itself mature and naturally develop into adulthood. I have a diploma in Gemmology & Jewellery & Object Design, a Bachelor of Visual Arts at The University of Sydney, Sydney College of the Arts and a Bachelor of Teaching in Secondary Education.
I also have an interest in life drawing, botanical art/Illustration and landscape photography.
I am now also qualified and able to teach secondary students about the joys of art, design and craft.
